Liberia WASH Initiative

Kijani Group is leading a transformational effort in Liberia to provide sustainable access to clean water while generating certified carbon credits. This initiative spans across multiple rural counties and is co-designed with local communities, government agencies, and international partners.


Key Components:

- Rehabilitation of non-functional water points.

- Deployment of safe water technologies (e.g., manual pumps, filtration systems).

- Community training in water governance and maintenance.

- Measurement of CO₂ emission reductions through water access.

- Integration with Gold Standard methodologies.

- Empowering Economic Activities for Women.


Impact Goals by 2027:

- +150,000 people with access to safe water.

- +300 rehabilitated water points.

- Over 60,000 tCO₂ avoided.

- Women & girls’ time savings reinvested into education and livelihoods.

- Supplying Bleach to Clinics, Schools, & Communities.
